OOAK (One of A Kind) Fashion Dolls, Bild Lilli Clone Dolls Reproduction, Barbie OOAK

My first attempt to create an OOAK (One of A Kind Doll) starting from a vintage fashion doll, dates back to more than 15 years ago. Countless attempts and a lot of study, which still accompanies me. Lately, in my free time I like to create fashion dolls inspired by the 50s, in particular Bild Lilli dolls, starting from her charming clones.

BILD LILLY or LILLI was made of plastic and she was 29.5 cm tall. The doll looked a lot like another diva of the time, Brigitte Bardot. This doll was a 3D version of a clever and feisty heroine from a German comic book, designed by O.M. Hausser. She was more like an action figure, and not a real fashion doll as we are intending them.

Other dolls that I admire and get inspired by are Miss Suzette, Barbie Ponytail, Barbie fashion Queen, Barbie American Girl.

These are iconic fashion dolls, hard to find. Most of my OOAKs start from dolls that have lost their original makeup, their hair or even parts of their body. I restore them and turn them into collectibles.

There is no greater satisfaction than receiving a photograph of one of my fashion dolls among collectible dolls of the caliber of original Bild Lilli or Barbie Ponytail
